[Video] Working with Holiday-Related Stress

The Holidays: A Time of Mixed Feelings

The holidays are an interesting time. For some people the holidays are a time that they value greatly. While for others, it can be a time of sadness and grief.

For most people, however, it brings a change in routine. And when our routines change, we can get thrown off. We may find ourselves feeling stressed or overwhelmed as we try to get back into our groove.

Added to this is that the holidays can also be a time of added expectations. Whether these are expectations that we place upon ourselves or that others place upon us, they exist.

In this video, I invite you to take stock of the holiday-related activities or expectations that you have. Identify what those are and see if there are ways you can adapt, modify, or change those activities that feel the most stressful or overwhelming.

If you’re one of the people out there for whom this time of year feels unmanageable to handle on your own, reach out to me. I understand how difficult this time of year can be for people. I will provide you with a safe space within which you can creatively explore and express your feelings.
