Enhance your sense of wellness through music
What is “wellness?”
Wellness is a reflection of the integration between mind, body, heart and spirit. Since contemporary life requires us to respond to a variety of life circumstances, this state of being is always fluctuating. There are times in life when we may experience things that can cause distress or disease in one or more of these areas, thereby affecting our overall sense of well-being. Below are wellness music therapy services offered in Longmont, Loveland, and Boulder County by SoundWell Music Therapy.
There is much research coming out about the benefits of developing a mindfulness practice. By being aware of what is happening in the present moment, it is possible to reduce stress and anxiety, allowing one to see life events more objectively. Mindful music-making involves developing a greater awareness of what you hear coming from within yourself and around you without judgement.
You can hear Faith talk more about mindfulness and music here.
Singing does a body good. Singing Social is a group for adults who want to sing in a group, but don’t want to perform. Healthy vocal technique is covered that supports each person’s abilities. Participants of all abilities are welcome. This group is regularly offered through Longmont Recreation Services and the Center for Musical Arts.
Many women today feel pressured. From feeling responsible for raising families and maintaining a home, to establishing and sustaining a career, it can be easy for today’s modern woman to lose sense of herself. However, when we lose sense of ourselves by failing to recognize our own needs, our sense of well-being can suffer.
Through music-making activities, women can have the ability to be their authentic selves by engaging in creative expression. These experiences can support them in returning back to their daily lives and responsibilities feeling heard, refreshed, and renewed.

Stress is an inevitable part of life; how you deal with stress can affect your health. Research continues to provide evidence of the severe health implications due to chronic stress, including disturbances to the immune system that can result in becoming ill more often.
By developing healthy coping strategies for dealing with stress, we can more easily and efficiently work with stressful situations, as opposed to working against them. Due to the ways in which music can affect body, mind, heart, and spirit, music can be a beneficial way for managing stress and promoting relaxation. Faith will work with you to develop individualized ways you can best use music to manage personal life stresses.
